Repower wins 50MW enXco deal

James Quilter, Windpower Monthly, 25 January 2012, 10:57am

UNITED STATES: EDF EN subsidiary enXco has handed Repower a 50MW order for its Shiloh IV project in California.

The project will use 25 MM92 2MW turbines, which will be delivered later this year. A five-year maintenance deal will be included in the deal.

The Repower turbines will replace 235 Kenetech 100kW turbines, which were installed in 1989.

In 2008 and 2011 Repower delivered wind turbines for the Shiloh II and Shiloh III wind farms. Together, all three Shiloh wind farms will have a capacity of 355 MW.

Speaking about the deal, Repower CEO Andreas Nauen, said:  "Since 2007 we have realised several wind-farm projects with enXco in the United States. This contract is another sign of confidence in our technology and execution capabilities."
