Close up - Envision's 3.6MW offshore machine
DENMARK: Chinese-owned Envision Energy has launched the E128, a 3.6MW two-bladed direct drive offshore wind turbine machine. Windpower Monthly technical writer Eize de Vries spoke with director Anders Rebsdorf -- who heads a 30-strong team of senior engineers at the companies Danish Global Innovation Center -- about the turbine's design and upcoming installation and testing.
