Understand The Key Considerations For Wind Farm Design And How To Maximise The Energy Yield
----
Organised in association with:
The initial design of a wind farm can have profound implications for its future profitability and the process of wind farm design spans a range of disciplines. This one-day seminar is designed to provide industry professionals with an introductory understanding of the key considerations surrounding wind farm design and how to ensure the design maximises energy production whilst minimising costs and taking constraints into account. The seminar will cover largely onshore wind farms but will also be of relevance for offshore professionals.
As well as including an overview of the site identification and design process, the course covers the principles of wind behaviour, site measurements and the assessment of wake effects. As part of the optimisation of the turbine micrositing, the analysis of noise, visibility and other important environmental factors are also considered.
All attendees will receive notes and have the opportunity to gain insight from the expert facilitator into the processes used commercially.
