The larger of the two contracts is for 58MW to be installed on two wind farms in Lukaszów and Modlikowice, in south-west Poland. The projects are being handled by Polish Energy Partners.

Both of the wind farms are expected to be online by 2011. The deal includes a five-year operations and service agreement.

The second deal has been placed by Italian utility Edison. The 54MW will go to the San Giorgio la Molara project in Campania and comes with a five-year maintenance agreement.

Vestas’ V90 turbine is still a popular Vestas product. Recently it has been purchased for wind projects in England, Sweden and California.
